Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to study the economic development of Vietnam to discover broader lessons about development that can be applied to other developing countries. Vietnam was chosen as the subject of this paper because it has experienced phenomenal economic development by many different standards. Ultimately, the lessons drawn from examining Vietnam's policies in this paper are very valuable to those in the field of development.
